Return of Sail Paradise Regatta
14th March 2014 is a memorable day for Southport Yacht Club as it marks the return of Sail Paradise to Main Beach of the Gold Coast. To celebrate this day, off shore divisions will be also participating, which means from competitive keel boats of the IRC division to Sports boats, the invitation is open to all. There will be both on-shore as well as on-water events to keep every guests engaged. In addition to this, the Waterfront Clubhouse will be hosting food and live entertainment for all participants to enjoy. This event will continue till 16th March 2014 and will be offering a competitive and fulfilling summer sailing experience for crews of a wide range of yachts. Being open to sailors, their friends and families, this event ensures everyone gets the opportunity to enjoy various holiday recreations offered on the Gold Coast.
Discover Sailing Day
If you want to go for a sailing ride on the Main Beach for free, then 30th March 2014 can be an ideal day for you. Southport Yacht Club is organising a Discover Sailing Day for free and welcoming people of all ages to come onboard. If spending a relaxing day, sailing on the beautiful waters of the Gold Coast seems a nice idea to you, then reach the venue by 9 am and enjoy the sailing experience till 1 pm. The Waterfront Cafe will be offering breakfast and coffee to all visitors, so that you spend a memorable time there.
Cooly Classic Ocean Swim
Do you want to feel the rush of cutting waters of the three most celebrated surf breaks of Australia? Then 30th March 2014 offers you a chance to participate in the iconic swimming event of Cooly Classic at Kirra Surf Life Saving Club on the Coolangatta Beach. Whether it is Snapper Rocks, Kirra or Coolangatta surf breaks; competitive swimmers will get the chance to enjoy premier swimming experience at Queensland. It is not only pro swimmers who can make the most of this event, but options are made available for beginners as well. So, hit the beaches by 7am to register yourself as a competitor as the main event will start from 9.30 am.
