Winter events are so much fun to experience that you will barely want to leave Gold Coast. This August get ready for three of the most coveted events of Winter. The Broadbeach jazz festival that is all set to start on 15th of August, is to be organised by none other than Oasis Shopping Centre. To be presented in honour of the shopping centre’s 25th birth anniversary the event is not to be missed at all.

When the world is expecting spring surprises, Gold Coast is getting ready for a downpour of winter events. It’s quite natural for southern part of the world to greet winter in a time when others are rejoicing spring bliss. However, the excitement and thrill in the winter events at this part of the world is no less charming than those experienced in the northern hemisphere. Situated at the heart of Lamington National Park, is the O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat, which has emerged as a popular tourist destination in Queensland. The dense forests sprawling over the mountain ranges, takes you to a refreshing journey that you will treasure. Lamington received its World Heritage recognition in 1994 because of the extensive biodiversity along with breath taking flora. The park covers an area of 20, 200 hectares which even hosts dry eucalypt forest and many other attractions waiting for the travel enthusiast to experience. This National Park is ‘retreat’ in a real sense offering you a number of activities amidst calm and cool atmosphere.

A walk into the green and wild is what Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk promises to its visitors. Australia has always a gift for its travel enthusiasts. This walkway is just another token to make your stay memorable in Queensland. This rainforest covers 30 acres of land beside the Cedar Creek on Mt. Tamborine. You need to walk 1.5kms, which takes roughly 45 minutes, provided you walk at a leisurely pace enjoying the interesting locations along the way. The entire route comprises of forest floor trails, 300 metres of high-tech steel bridges and a 40 metres cantilever bridge giving you a magnificent view of the creek and rainforest from the top.

It’s time for some banjos, guitars, fiddles and of course harmonicas in Broadbeach because the Country Music Festival, 2014 is just around the corner. The city is all set once again to witness the musical saga from 20th to 22nd June 2014, where the Country meets the Coast. There are a whole lot of events lined up for the lovers of this genre and for those who want to sync in with the melodious mood of Broadbeach.
